Guest Post: Sam from A Girl Obsessed

Today i have an awesome guest post from my friend Sam of A girl Obsessed comparing some OPI Duochromes! Hope you all enjoy and thank you so much Sam!
________________________________________________________________________________

Hi! My name is Samantha, but most call me Sam. I am the maker behind A Girl Obsessed (www.a-girl-obsessed.com). Before my brand I was simply a nail polish enthusiast, and since then became a certified nail technician. Sometimes I feel the need to blog but mine doesn’t receive that much traffic. Luckily my good friend Tabitha is allowing me to guest post so I can share an OPI comparison to you fine people.

I’ve noticed in that past few OPI collections has had a duchrome polish in it. I didn’t pick one up because I thought, how many of the same polish do I need? Then I purchased Kermit Me To Speak for my sister, and Peace & Love & OPI because it was on clearance, so naturally I snagged Next Stop… The Bikini Zone so I could compare them. I was pleasantly surprised! Lets take a look.

Peace & Love & OPI is part of the 2013 San Francisco collection, which was released in the late fall. It is so much nicer on the nail, deeper with an awesome green and purple/pink shift. This is two easy coats.

Kermit Me To Speak is from the latest Muppet collection. I seriously thought that this polish was going to be the same as Peace & Love & OPI. I was clearly mistaken! How beautiful is this?  A pink/copper with a green shift. Again, two easy coats.

Lastly I have Next Stop… The Bikini Zone from the Brazil collection. This polish is more on the metallic size. It’s very sparkly and shifts from purple, pink and gold. This was more challenging to paint. 3 coats and 4 coats on a few nails, but I’d say it’s worth it. It dries fast and its just stunning!

Here’s a shot of all 3 side by side. Do you need all of them? No, who NEEDS all the nail polish in the land. But I’m glad I have all three! Lesson learned; don’t let a bottle fool you. What do you think?

Born Pretty Store Product Review

Hello Dreamers! I was sent 3 nail art products from Born Pretty Store which is an online store that sells a wide variety of items. Cell Phone cases, makeup, jewelry, hair products, nail products, you name it! One of the best parts about Born Pretty Store is that they offer FREE SHIPPING Worldwide! You can not beat that.

Spike Studs
They come in either silver or gold and are 3.5mm and they come in a pack of 10 for $0.99! I absolutely loved these! They definitely made my nails have that edgy punk look. The studs were easy to apply and remove and if you plan on wearing them longer than a day or two then i would use nail glue to apply them.
This mani was inspired by my friend Kat @kacaa86 on Instagram.

3D Crystal Bow
The bow is curved to fit the curve of your nail so its not just sitting on top of your nail. I absolutely adore the bows because it adds a little bling to your mani. The bows come in a 10pc for $5.99 which is an awesome deal. You can reuse them which i suggest, all you have to do is clean off any polish left on the backside. You can purchase the bows at http://www.bornprettystore.com/silver-bowknot-shape-crystal-stickers-acrylic-nail-p-4166.html.
Neon Studs
The neon studs come in a set of 400pc 2mm round and square shaped for $7.59. I can never have too many studs and these are perfect for spring and summer! i thought of this cute flower design using the studs but your possibilities are endless! These studs can be purchased at http://www.bornprettystore.com/400pcs-round-square-fluorescent-dark-colors-stud-rhinestones-nail-decoration-wbox-p-7219.html

Overall, i love all three of these products and will definitely use them over and over! I love nail art that incorporates studs into it, it makes the mani so fun and unique. These products are also so easy to use that honestly anyone could use them. I was also given a coupon code to share with all of you. When you use the code NSJ61 at checkout you get 10% off your entire order as well as your free shipping!

Nailed Kit Water Decals

Hello Dreamers! Today i have a product that is perfect for beginners or people who may not be so good with nail art. Nailed Kit Water Decals are perfect becuase all you have to do is cut them out, put them in water for 10 secs, peel off the back and apply them to your nail! Simple right?

I used the USA ones for an Olympics mani. They are so cute and easy to use!

Simple Spring mani.

This was my first time using water decals so i had a little trial and error with a few things. These work best on lighter colored nail polish because it helps hide the clear outline. I also found that they need to be applied to polish and not over a top coat. The decals just slid all over the place on my first mani because i had used a top coat first. Other than that i love how easy they are to use and that they come in so many awesome designs!
